JF Favorite Picks for Holiday Photo Gifts 2012

In an age where photography has gone digital and there are more ways to print photos than you can count on both hands.. you would think people would be inclined to actually do more with them.
Even with top of the line in-home printers emerging from popular manufacturers like Canon and online upload for photos, this isn't the case.
For most of us (myself included) they pile up by the thousands on our phone or ipad/tablet, get posted to social media, and maybe shared through a text or two.  Rarely are we inclined to have the pictures printed or made into something tangible.

With the holidays approaching , what better way to incorporate photos into your gift giving than with photos? It can be a very inexpensive special touch (but don't get me wrong it could add up depending on how elaborate you get)

1. Custom Gift Wrap-Lets say you're ahead of schedule and have your gifts already. You can still customize your wrapping paper with photos, special sayings customer colors you name it.

 2.Designears Photo Headphones
 Beats by Dre Headphones are classic but for your young one (or young at heart) person on your list that is always looking to stand apart..customize some headphones for them.

 3. Photo Night Light- What about a custom gift for an expecting couple or friends with young kids. Its a nice touch for a thoughtful gift.

4. Photo Calendar- Ok..so this isn't the most original idea. However, add a twist to your calendar. Do a sexy calendar for your significant other with different looks aligned to the seasons/months. Document your child's first year of life with a picture from each month.  Give grandparents a calendar featuring a different family member each month or make each picture a coupon for your kids to redeem for a fun treat or outing each month.  You get the point... get CREATIVE!

5. Ipad/Tablet/Cell Phone Case- Put a NFL Player photo, pet, college mascot, family picture, etc. Your techn saavy gift recipeitn will love it.







6. Custom Portable Speakers
OrigAudio and other websites are getting really creative. These portable customizable speakers caught our attention.

7. Photo Shower Curtain-  Redecorating? Friends just moving? It'll make good decoration for a guestroom. Even if the thought of having actual people on your shower curtain is creepy, upload a picture of your favorite scenery from a vacation or a sunset you captured on your camera.

8. Photo Restoration If you're in search of a heartfelt gift for the grandparent or older aunt on your list, this may be a good gift. They probably have that one old photo that may be torn or fading. With advances in technology, you can have the photo like new and even enlarged. It would mean the world to them.

9. Our list wouldn't be complete without this suggestion.. A PhotoShoot!
Ok, so most people claim they don't like taking photos or don't think their photogenic but even they wouldn't mind feeling "Hollywood" for a day or having a nice recent photo of themselves. Package their photo shoot with a nice new outfit or a gift certificate to get a manicure or makeup service. They'll thank you later.

Plus, you're going to need some nice photos to make all those gifts listed above, anyways.
